UPMC AnywhereCare offers medical care for non-emergency conditions. If you think you may be experiencing life-threating symptoms, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention. You must be over the age of 18 to use UPMC AnywhereCare.

Coughs, colds, allergies - anything that's keeping you from being at your best. UPMC AnywhereCare gives patients with non-emergency symptoms like these the opportunity to get the care they need online. Anytime. Anywhere in Pennsylvania.

No traffic or parking hassles. No waiting to schedule an appointment or sitting in a waiting room. Instead, you get a personalized response from a UPMC provider - usually within 30 minutes of submitting your symptoms. And, if needed, prescriptions can be sent directly to your pharmacy.

AnywhereCare is not currently covered by Medicare or Medicaid programs and those programs will not cover any charges related to this service. Patients with government sponsored insurance are personally responsible for any charges incurred while receiving care via AnywhereCare.

Your UPMC AnywhereCare experience starts when you fill out a questionnaire about your specific symptoms. After the questionnaire has been submitted, a member of the UPMC medical team will participate in a video consult or secure messaging with you to answer any additional questions that will help to make an accurate diagnosis.

Based on your answers to the questionnaire and any follow-up questions, the health care provider will provide a diagnosis and recommend a personal treatment plan, prepared just for you.

Our Medical Team

The UPMC AnywhereCare medical team are Pennsylvania-licensed providers (Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Physicians) located in Pennsylvania who are specially trained to handle your UPMC AnywhereCare requests.

UPMC AnywhereCare is available for children ages 3 and older. Symptoms that can be treated are cold, cough, and pink eye.

To use this service, the parent or legal guardian must have an active Pediatric Proxy account via MyUPMC for the child to receive services. Pediatric Proxy requires validation of parental rights via MyUPMC and takes one business day to activate. The legal guardian must also have their own active MyUPMC account. Foster parents are not eligible for Pediatric Proxy or access to services through UPMC AnywhereCare for minor children that they are caring for.

Pediatric UPMC AnywhereCare is video only and is provided by a pediatrician. Access to a PC-based web camera is required and the parent/legal guardian and the child must be present during the video visit.

The UPMC AnywhereCare providers for children are licensed, board-certified pediatricians located in Pennsylvania. Providers rotate coverage to make this service available around the clock.

While our providers will attempt to resolve your child's health care concerns via UPMC AnywhereCare, there may be instances when they will instruct that you take the child for an in-person pediatric visit.
